Online SHA-1 Hash Generator
SHA-1
In cryptography, SHA-1 (Secure Hash Algorithm 1) is a cryptographically broken but still widely used hash function which takes an input and produces a 160-bit hash value known as a message digest rendered as a hexadecimal number, 40 digits long. It's most often used to verify a file has been unaltered. This is done by producing a checksum before the file has been transmitted, and then again once it reaches its destination.
