RIPEMD (RACE Integrity Primitives Evaluation Message Digest) is a family of cryptographic hash functions. It is a sub-block of the RIPEMD-160 hash algorithm. RIPEMD-160 give the output length of 160 bit and increases the security level of the hash function. This function is designed to work as a replacement for 128-bit hash functions MD4, MD5, and RIPEMD-128.
